Natural Cosmetic Uses for Honey

I love to use natural products on my hair and skin.  Here are some fun Natural Cosmetic Uses for Honey!

Honey Facial Toner:

In a blender or food processor, blend 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 peeled, cored apple.  Smooth over face; leave on for 15 minutes.  Rinse with cool water.  Leaves face feeling clean and refreshed!

Honey Moisture Mask:

Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 tablespoons of warm milk.  Smooth over face and neck.  Leave on for 10 minutes.  Rinse with warm water.

Honey Cleansing Scrub:

Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 2 tablespoons of ground almonds and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Rub gently, messaging over face.  Rinse with warm water.  Gently exfoliates the skin.

Honey Bath:

Add 1/4 cup of honey to a warm bath for a fragrant, softening bath.

Honey Hair Shine:

Stir 1 teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of warm water.  Blondes-for extra shine add a squeeze of lemon.  After shampooing, poor mixture through hair.  Do not rinse-dry as usual.

Honey Hair Conditioner:

Mix 1/2 cup of honey and 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (for dry hair).  (Use 2 tablespoons for normal hair.)  Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated.  Cover hair with a shower cap, leave on 30 minutes.  Remove shower cap, shampoo well and rinse.  Dry hair as usual.
