Ranch Dressing and Seasoning Mix

July 11, 2011

Ranch Dressing Mix Chips and Ranch DipYou don’t find very many Ranch Dressing mixes that are terrific with chips and/or veggies, but this one is. I have used this recipe for years, with very good results.  I have even sprinkled it over cubed potatoes before baking to make Ranch Potatoes.  It’s great sprinkled on veggies, like broccoli and cauliflower before cooking.  I’ve added it to meats, like chicken, beef, or pork, and even mixed it into hamburgers before grilling.

Ranch Dressing and Seasoning Mix on sour cream

Combine two cups of sour cream (I use 100% sour cream, either Breakstone or Daisy, for the best flavor.) with two tablespoons of Ranch Dressing and Seasoning Mix in a small bowl.

To Make Ranch Salad Dressing

Combine one cup of mayonnaise and one cup of milk with two tablespoons of Ranch Dressing Mix in a 1-quart canning jar, replace lid and shake until well-combined. For Buttermilk Dressing, replace milk with Buttermilk. Serve over your favorite salad mix.

Welcome to my homestead!

My husband and I write about our simple life here on Mama's Homestead and teach classes on our homestead in central Ohio, where we raise goats, chickens, and rabbits, have an orchard, garden, keep bees, and much more. Read More…
