I came up with this multi-purpose soup mix because I wanted a mix that contained the main ingredients I use in many of my soups as a base. So far, I have used it in Chicken Noodle Soup, Potato Soup, Meatloaf, and to flavor pasta.
Ingredients for Multi-Purpose Soup Mix
2/3 cup dried, minced onions
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
2 tablespoons dried, minced garlic
2 tablespoons dried celery flakes
2 teaspoons sea salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions for Multi-Purpose Soup Mix
Place all ingredients in a small plastic bag or mason jar, replace lid tightly, and shake until well combined. Store in cool dark place for up to two to three months.
For use in soups, stir in 1 tablespoon per 32 ounces of liquid. For use in meats, stir in 1 tablespoon per pound of meat. Enjoy!
